La Herradura Street Tacos & Bar

Amazing Friendly Staff. Even with this heat they stay with a great attitude. And this are by far the best Asada and Pastor tacos in the area. Great place for kids too very open space and large play areas.

Best tacos in Vail and all of East Tucson! The prices and daily specials will have you thinking that you time-traveled back to 1999! They have all of the basics here, a great selection of meats and even a full bar with draft beers. A true gem in the desert. If you haven't checked out La Herradura Street Tacos, you are definitely missing out!

Interesting place. Went in with wife and young son. It's hot in there... Bartender immediately apologize for that, but there was a fan and it was tolerable. You order at the door near the bar. Ordered two Modelo Especials, Horchata, a Sonoran dog, two birria and two al pastor tacos, and a quesadilla. We sat at one of the two inside booths, they were dirty and covered with flies buzzing around the food, beer stains and us. Received two Modelo Negros, a Horchata, and all the food. The beer was ice-cold, a plus, so we drank the dark anyway. I liked the Sonoran dog...seemed a bargain at $4, but it was my first one, so nothing to compare it to. Wolfed that down. The quesadilla was large and stuffed with cheese, a good value,although appeared to be nuked...no grill or plancha marks. The Al pastor: good...and all the fixings were over on a taco bar...radishes, peppers, cilantro, onion, cukes, etc. The "birria" wasn't what we've had elsewhere from Alaska to Texas...or what my wife makes. Appeared to be well flavored pork, no consume, not dipped. It tasted fine so I also ate that! I did order two more birria thinking we had gotten the wrong food; It came out the same way...when I asked, the server said oh, you wanted "queso birria". I ate the new ones, too, it's decent food, but not, in my mind, birria. Is it not beef or goat here? Stewed? Also split a Pacifico, also ice cold! To sum it up, the folks at the bar seemed happy. One bartender was fairly friendly, the other apathetic. Definitely straight up bar, not a family place... Lots of swearing etc. if the tables were clean, if we had gotten the right beers and tacos, and we didn't have a swarm of flies buzzing around us and our food, it would have been perfect. Looks like maybe a great place for day drinkers and when the Sun goes down. Fair prices, all that for around $55.

Maribel, Lizeth always professional and greet you with a smile. Always making sure their customers have everything they need. Great Family atmosphere. Kids have area to play and run on turf grass. Food is cooked with pride and very delicious. Freddy is a great cook. Corona needed this. Great food and atmosphere.

Their alcohol drinks cost way too much. That is why we don't go there very much periods their drinks at 3 to 4 dollars more than any restaurant around. They have to fix that. I have talked to them about it more than once and it won't bring their price down. Don't know what the problem is. But the cost is definitely not right four drinks. Food not bad

First time here was greeted with great customer service! Such a cute spot! & Food is delicious!

Such a nice place with a real authentic Mexican feel and taste to escape the Tucson/Vail area. Nice cool patio area to dine or drink. Food is amazing and the Jamaica is soo yummy! Gracias El Herradura!! We will be back for sure!
